We left with Boy to fly into Frankfurt, Germany on August 28.  Boy supported his sire,
VA Ando vom Altenberger-Land, in his progeny group at the Sieger Show in Ulm, Germany.  We enjoyed sharing Boy's experiences in Germany and at the Sieger Show, and visiting with our many friends in Germany.

SIEGER SHOW 2005
INFORMATION

SEPTEMBER 2nd to 4th 2005 ULM, GERMANY

Boy arrives in his homeland, Germany, Aug. 29, 2005. First stop is the Hotel Gunther Garni in Boppard after an exhausting 21 hour flight from CA.

Boy and Debbie in front of Madonna & Child set into the wall on the riverside frontage of the Karmetlie Church in Boppard.

The promenade on the Rhine River.

Aug. 30- Burg Maus, (Mouse Castle) in Kestert overlooking the Rhine River.

Originally called Peterseck and was built by the archbishop of Trier in an effort to counter Count Dieter's toll practices (see below).

Burg Katz, (Cat Castle) in St. Goarshausen on the Rhine.

Burg Katz

In a show of medieval muscle-flexing, Count Dieter responded to the building of Burg Maus by building yet another, and much bigger castle, and called it Burg Katz (Cat Castle).

Burg Rheinfels, castle in St. Goar seen in distance, once the mightiest fortress on the Rhine.

Built in 1245 by Count Dieter V of Katzenelnbogen as a base for his toll-collecting operation, its size and labyrinthine layout is truly astonishing.

The magestic Schonburg Castle in Oberwesel.

Legend has it that this castle was once the home of seven beautifuol but haughty sisters who rediculed and rejected any potential suitors until they were turned into stone and submerged in the Rhine.

Boy stayed his second night at the Castle Hotel, Auf Schonburg.

Munster is celebrated for its 161.6m-high steeple, the tallest on the planet. Though the first stone was laid in 1377, it took over 500 years for the entire structure to be completed.

The Holiday Inn Express by the Frankfurt Airport. We stayed here last year as well. Great place for dogs as you can observe in the next photos.

Trail around pond by hotel. Lots of trees, grass & quiet. And no concrete!

Log cabin by the pond.

This great area behind the hotel with the trails, pond and seclusion is super for dog people if you are flying into or out of Frankfurt. Is only minutes from the Frankfurt Airport. And they have a shuttle to the airport.

Sep. 8, 2005, Thu.- Boy at Frankfurt Airport readies to fly back to California.

It was another fun Sieger experience in Germany! Hope to repeat in 2006! Maybe with Boy's half brother, Nicor von Altenberger-Land, another Ando son.

This is Nicor vom Altenberger-Land, SchH1, KK1, "a" normal, also an Ando son.

Nicor
